Our Church Activities Sunday Worship The separate Sunday morning services at each church were recently combined to one service delivered on alternate weeks at Banchory- Devenick and Maryculter/Cookney at 10.30. Average attendance is approximately fifty per week. Although the morning services are generally more traditional, with some participation by office-bearers, there is a real desire for more creativity and a good balance of older and contemporary praise. The congregation values God’s Word being preached so that we all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. Church Hymnary 3 and Complete Mission Praise are used in congregational singing. We have a pipe and electronic organ in both churches and an electronic keyboard at Maryculter-Cookney. The Sunday evening services held in the upper room of the new Maryculter-Cookney hall extension have not yet recommenced following the summer break. These services were family services with monthly communions built in. We use multimedia projection. We hold bi-annual carded Communions in April/May and October/November within the two churches. We are looking towards incorporating more active praise in our services such as a praise group for those who are talented musically. Sunday School We have a thriving Sunday school with twelve children attending regularly whose ages range from 3 - 14 years. Sunday school takes part in the first twenty minutes of the service then leaves for its own activities. We have a varied programme of art and crafts, singing and learning of Jesus' love for us all, we also have been exploring the many Bible stories in the Old and New Testaments.
Evangelistic Courses An annual programme of evangelistic courses has been approved by the Session and will provide opportunities for “seekers” to explore Christianity and participants to grow in faith. The course programme includes Christianity Explored, Alpha and Discipleship Explored. Bible Study & Prayer Group

The fifteen strong Cub pack meets on a Monday evening and is open to boys from 8 to 10½ years and the Scout Troop, of fifteen boys, from 10½ to 14 years meet on a Friday evening.
